The Hydrogen Task Force is a private initiative, led by two business associations, France Hydrogène, the association bringing together all the French players belonging to the hydrogen value chain and MEDEF International, the French private business network at an international level.

Context

Five years after the Paris Agreement, Governments and companies, driven by the urgency of decarbonizing economic and industrial activities massively, are increasingly relying on renewable and low-carbon hydrogen.

The rise of this clean and sustainable energy vector calls for proactive public policies and the full mobilization of all players of the hydrogen sector. In several States, a dedicated plan to accelerate the domestic development of renewable and low-carbon hydrogen has been launched. The development of hydrogen is therefore a global, European and national move.

France, for its part, presented in 2020 a national strategy for the development of low-carbon hydrogen, the ecological, technological and economic challenge of which is to create and to structure a cutting-edge French industrial sector competitive at an international level.

In this promising context for hydrogen, both in France and abroad, France Hydrogène and MEDEF International decided to join forces to carry out actions at an international level promoting French companies of the hydrogen sector. To this aim, France Hydrogène and MEDEF International set up a Task Force of companies dedicated to hydrogen.

What is the Hydrogen Task Force ?

The Hydrogen Task Force is a private initiative, led by two business associations, MEDEF International, the French private business network at an international level, and France Hydrogène, the association bringing together all the French players belonging to the hydrogen value chain.

The TFH relies on complementarity and on respective strengths of both associations.

The Hydrogen Task Force brings together, first of all, members of MEDEF International, France Hydrogène and of partner organization (GICAN, Syntec Ingénierie, FIEV) but welcomes also French companies carrying hydrogen projects on foreign markets or interested in developing such projects.

Committed to collective spirit and to building strong business networks, MEDEF International and France Hydrogène pay particular attention to foster interactions between companies of all sizes and amplifying experience sharing.

To fulfill its mission, the Hydrogen Task Force relies on the operational teams and networks of MEDEF International and France Hydrogen. A Steering Committee defines its priorities.

Mission
